Green light: it is listening

Ask it anything. Just say it.

Playnitive is a screen-free AI plush toy for children aged 4 to 12. Press the paw, ask a question, and it speaks the answer back within seconds.

  1. Child

    Why do leaves change colour?

  2. Lotti

Because in autumn the green drains out of them, and the yellow that was there all along finally shows.

Example conversation

What it does not do

  • It does not listen until the paw is pressed
  • It has no camera, anywhere in it
  • It does not send a conversation outside the EU

Hear what it actually sounds like

An uncut recording of the working prototype: a child asks Lotti why the sky is blue, and after a few seconds of thinking she answers out loud.

Transcript

Child
Why is the sky blue?
Lotti
The sky looks blue because the air spreads blue light from the sun all around us. At sunset, the light travels through more air, so the sky can look orange, pink or red.

Ask her yourself

Type a sentence the way a child would say it, and Lotti speaks the answer in the voice the plush uses, with the same rules running behind her. Three turns, no sign-up.

Which Playnitive characters are there?

Three: Lotti, who ships first, and Kobi and Levi, who follow after launch. All three run on identical hardware and identical firmware, so every promise on this page holds for each of them; what changes is the face, the voice and the personality.

  • Lotti, the Playnitive doll, photographed close up: auburn braids, embroidered eyes and a pink corduroy dressFirst to ship

    Lotti

    The kind, clever one

Auburn braids, a pink corduroy dress and patience for the twentieth why in a row. Lotti is the original Playnitive and the first one to ship.

  • Kobi, the teal-green Playnitive dragon, photographed close up with large embroidered eyesFollows after launch

    Kobi

    The friendly dragon

Teal-green, with eyes that take up half his face. For the children who would rather befriend a creature out of a story than a doll.

  • Levi, the Playnitive boy doll, standing on a wooden floor in a child's room: brown hair, a yellow shirt and blue corduroy dungareesFollows after launch

    Levi

    The explorer

Brown hair, a yellow shirt and blue corduroy dungarees. For the child who turns every afternoon into an expedition and wants company on it.

How does a conversation with Playnitive work?

The child presses the toy's hand, asks a spoken question and hears the answer: one button, one light, no screen anywhere. A four year old can run the whole thing without being able to read.

  1. The Playnitive plush toy's hand with the status light glowing green
    01

Press the hand, then just ask

The single button sits in the toy's hand. Press it and the light turns green, which means it is listening. Your child simply speaks to it, the way they would to anyone else in the room.

  2. The same hand with the status light glowing yellow while the toy answers
    02

Yellow light, and the answer comes back

Yellow means the voice is being recorded or the answer is being spoken. The speech is turned into text inside the European Union, and the raw audio is discarded as soon as that is done. Nothing is kept.

  3. The device list in the Playnitive app: Lotti online with the battery at 91%, Levi offline
    03

You set the rules from your phone

The child's name, age and interests, the name the toy answers to, a simpler conversation mode, the volume, the brightness of the light, and a daily time window for every weekday. Play can be switched off entirely. The same app shows whether each toy is online and its battery level.

How does Playnitive protect my child's privacy?

There is no camera, raw audio is never stored, and nothing your child says is used for advertising. Playnitive is a Hungarian product, built for European rules from the first sketch rather than adapted to them afterwards.

  • There is no camera

Inside the stuffing: a microphone, a speaker, one button, a status light, a motion sensor and a battery holder. That is the entire parts list.

  • The recording is not kept

Raw audio is never stored. It is turned into text inside the European Union and discarded in the same moment.

  • Play happens when you allow it

A daily time window for each weekday, a volume limit, a simpler mode for younger children, and a switch that turns conversation off completely.

  • No profiling, no advertising

Nothing your child says is used to build an advertising profile, and there are no ads anywhere in the product or the app.
